Set up roles & permissions
Setting up roles and permissions in Metanoa takes just a few minutes. You'll create roles that match your team's jobs, set what each role can do with different features, and then assign those roles to your staff members.
Let's set up your roles and permissions
Here's how to create the perfect access structure for your clinic.
Before you start adding team members, you'll want to set up the roles that match how your clinic works. You might need roles like Therapist, Front Office, Head of Department, or Gate Security, and each role gets its own set of permissions.
Creating a new role
- Go to Roles & Permissions
- Click Create New Role in the top right corner
- Name your role something clear like Front Office or Senior Therapist
- Click Create and you're ready to set up permissions!
Setting up permissions for the role
Now you'll customize what this role can do with each feature:
- Scroll through the list of features like Client Profiles, Appointments, Reports, and Session Notes
- Pick the permission level for each feature by choosing View, Edit, Delete, or No Access
- Set the Access Non-Assigned Departments option to control whether this role can see other departments, usually View Only or No Access
- Click Save and you're all set!
Your role is now ready to assign to team members. When you add someone to your team, just pick this role and they'll automatically get all the permissions you just set up.
