Uploading Files During Onboarding
If your organization has file uploads enabled, you can attach supporting documents to a client's onboarding record directly in Metanoa. This keeps external reports, referral letters, and other intake documents in one place alongside the client's onboarding forms.
Where Do I Upload Files?
File uploads happen in the same place as onboarding forms: Progress → Onboarding on a client's profile. When the feature is enabled, you'll see a File Upload card in the available forms section. Click it to open the upload dialog.
If you don't see a File Upload card on the Onboarding tab, the feature may not be enabled for your organization. Check with your Admin.
How Do I Upload Files for a Client?
Let's Upload Files for a Client
- Open the client's record from the Clients list
- Click Progress at the top of their profile
- Click the Onboarding tab
- Click the "File Upload" card in the available forms section
- Enter a folder name to describe what you're uploading, for example "Referral Documents" or "Previous Reports"
- Attach your files by clicking the file area and selecting them from your device
- Click Upload to save the files to the client's record
And you're all set! The upload appears in the completed forms table with the folder name you entered as the label.
What Files Can I Upload?
Metanoa accepts common document and media formats including PDFs, Office documents, images, and other standard file types. If a file type isn't accepted, Metanoa will let you know when you try to attach it.
You can upload more than one file in a single upload. Give each upload a clear folder name so it's easy to identify what the files contain when you or a colleague comes back to them later.
Viewing Uploaded Files
Once uploaded, the files appear as a row in the completed forms table on the Onboarding tab, labelled with the folder name you gave them. Click the row to open the file view and access the individual files.
